Voyage of a Beagle & Lab

Elie

According to the forecast today was going to be the best of the holiday weekend so we picked up Ky from her friends, where she had spent the night and headed to Elie. On the road we did wonder if we had made the wrong choice as it looked as though everyone was heading to the Fife coast for the hols but the delay was short lived. Additional pic shows the progress on the new bridge - due to open Autumn this year so hopefully delays will become a thing of the past!
Picnic and ice cream consumed - personally I could have done with a coffee but the ice cream was rather good! Seals were spotted, very cute if slightly blurred photos taken to prove that they really were seals basking on the rocks - I'm sure the first head that D says he spotted was a buoy! The children and the pup raced about like the nutters they are so it was a little surprising when only Ky fell asleep on the journey home - I think the girls may have stayed up chatting a little longer than she admitted.
Once home everyone helped to prepare a special meal followed by a few games of Dobble - very simple and silly game but lots of fun!
