Drinks at the Hydro

Today was a touch grey and wet, but 10 Blippers from Argyll met in Oban and had a good time in spite of the rain.

We had coffee at Wetherspoon's, then walked up to McCaig's Tower and from there to the ruins of the Hydro, or to give it its correct name, The Oban Hydropathic Establishment and Sanatorium.

Mother Shipton had thoughtfully provided a bottle of bubbly so in the privacy of the Hydro we toasted each other and Blippers in general before carrying on to the viewpoint, which gives a lovely view over the town.

Back down we went to have a sociable lunch at the Olive Garden on the Railway Pier. I walked home at this point, but the others went on to Ganavan to sunbathe on the beach. Not!

A great day out in spite of the dodgy weather!

My extra is a Quiz of the Day! What do you think?
