Down at the NGV

After our loungy day yesterday, Miles was desperate to go out and do something, so we got the train into the city and went to the National Gallery Victoria. The Andy Warhol/Ai Weiwei exhibition is on, and although we didn't go deep into those areas, the atrium and kids' areas are pretty awesome (the latter being all about the artists' relationship with their cats!). The extra photo is from the atrium.

We wandered up to the permanent exhibitions afterwards - Miles has two favourite paintings in here from previous visits. One is of a boat sinking in a storm, and this is the other one. It depicts a ewe standing over her dead lamb as the crows move in. He's fascinated with them, and ran straight to each of them, desperate to tell me what was happening in them.

Fascinating what catches the attention of a 3-year-old.

I carried out an experiment tonight - nutella hot chocolate: a spoonful of nutella in milk frothed with the espresso machine. Nothing simpler, very, very delicious!
