White water

We all made up for our long day yesterday with a very good night's sleep, including Bailey who was still curled up when I decided to get up and see if he was desperate to go out. A quick trip out of the back door and we saw what could have been Bailey's older brother - a four year old border called Bob with identical colouring, right down to the white ring on his tail. Back in to porridge for breakfast with a gorgeous view and an Easter egg hunt before we ventured out for the first trip to the beach.

The surfers surfed; Bailey ran - including running back to us a few times and we tried out our new lenses. Wild waves and the Huers hut (although apparently not based on a trip into Newquay - just a sitooterie) on Towan Head were captured and a few shots of the surfers but not to be blipped.

Back for the bestest friend to make a very lovely Sunday lunch - much appreciated by all including Bailey who ate his body weight in chicken. We walked some of it off with another trip down to the beach and an attempt at recall with Bailey which works fine unless there are other dogs to play with.

The weather has set in well and truly wet and blustery this evening so we have curled up with hot cross buns, beer, chocolate and "The Lady in the Van". A very good first proper day of our holidays.
