Clear Felled

One of my earliest memories following our move to the North East back in 2002 was sitting in Morgan McVeigh's, looking at the picturesque shapes of the Larches on the Hill of Tillymorgan on the opposite side of the main A96 road. The lone trees contrasted starkly with the plantation of Firs that began abruptly just to the left of the view.

Today, we took one of our neighbours there for a farewell tea before our move to the South of England this coming Thursday. As we came out, I noticed that the Fir plantation was in the prices of being felled.
