Milestones

We enjoyed a great old family day out at Milestones Living Museum in Basingstoke today. As the rain was set to come and we had high winds we decided an indoor activity was best.

It was a great venue with lots to see and do, they had a Lego building theme which C loved and lots of old vehicles and shops/rooms to explore. I liked the rooms made out to show each decade from the 30s through to the 70s - it was incredible to see the evolution of design and living standards in just 40 short years. The 40s decade looked just like my grandparents front room and the 70s room looked like the set of Austin Powers. Quite a change in just a few decades.
C loved building the Lego and sitting in a big fire engine! I quite liked the old sweet shop and the cafe too!
