The George

Some stiff exercise (in the sense of the state of the walkers' old knees) along the Avon & Somerset canal bank from opposite the Grosvenor Bridge in Lambridge to the George at Bathampton was rewarded with a light bite at the pub, a popular canal-side eaterie.

Mike Kelleher, a former councillor and political Kumpel, and I went for pints of Best Bitter, Doom Bar and Otter ales to wash down the starters. The main meal portions were far too large to contemplate!
