Spring's stubborn attempt at springing.

Spring on the Front Range of Colorado, is a mixture of the seasons on either side, one days its 80F (~26C) and trees are flowering against a pristine blue sky, a few days later we are shoveling out from 16 inches of heavy wet snow as pieces of trees or entire trees come crashing down, and cars come to a standstill in snow bound intersections. Fast forward a few days and the blue sky is back and life goes on.

In fact even winter and summer are totally sane either.   Each month in Denver has seen 70F (~21C) or more and the only months that have not seen snowfall are July and August. In 1998 my planting of corn and tomatoes had to wait out  a few inches of snow on June 6th.   It turned out to be a great season until it hailed in late August :)
