Lord of the forest

Tane Mahuta is the largest living Kauri tree in New Zealand and may be between 2000 and 2500 years old. Trunk height 17.7 meters, girth 13.8 meters, total height 51.5 meters,volume 244.5 m3. If you look very carefully among the shrubs at the bottom of the picture, you might just make out two figures - the one centre right is me!
