Right spot, right time

I had just come back from a walk with Riley. I was leaving the back porch and heading to the turkey pen when I saw something come flying in to the pond. At first I assumed it was one of the Canada geese that have taken up residence there, but then realized it was larger. And it was this grey heron. So I watched it for a while, took a bunch of photos, and then it went on its way.
