Feathers in a Twist

Met up with friend L. in Forfar for lunch, followed by a walk round Balgavies Loch.  Third time I've walked it, but a first for her (and she's only lived here 30 years!)

It was a great day for the birds and we saw a pair of ospreys on their nest, plus the male getting chased by two buzzards, who were nearly as big as he was. Then there were bullfinches (see Extras) and long tailed tits in the trees and loads of ducks, geese and swans on the loch.  Tried in vain to get the classic swan heart shot, but the one I liked best is in the Extras:-)

Also liked this shot of the goose getting his feathers in a twist, while the other one stood peacefully nearby.

Lovely dry weather although it had been pouring when I left home, so I definitely went in the right direction today:-)
