welcome back

This is the entrance to Wemyss Bay station and Pier the latter being closed for 6 months from October 2015 for full external berthing upgrading and restoration completed in time for Good Friday reopening.
Calmac  Rothesay ferries have been sailing from Gourock during this time a longer sail of an hour as opposed to the half-hour from WB also the berthing arrangements at Gourock are much poorer for passengers
The only bonus for travellers has been the reduction of fares since October under the RET scheme (road equivalent tariff) which will continue on most Calmac sailings on the Clyde as well as on most of  the Hebridean services
