Red Grouse

What a day. An invitation to lunch with good friends Shaaamie and Alison . A climb to over 1300' (including rounding error) to Stobb Cross on Allendale Common. Grouse, buzzards, larks, pipits, lapwings, curlews .... an audio-visual treat. Alpacas and lambs to give the "Aaaahhhh" factor for the youngsters. 
Loads of shots to choose from, but the red grouse is not only a new bird for the 2016 list, but yet another 'lifer' for me, following the smew from a few days ago.
