Went to Ala Moana Beach Park early today.   Beautiful day. 

Alongside some trash barrels, a new wire corral has appeared labeled HI-5 to encourage recycling of qualifying aluminum cans, plastic bottles and glass bottles, keeping them separate from "trash".  The sign says "take, leave, whatevas" which seems to indicate that you could come by with your BIG plastic bag and scoop them up to take to a recycling center yourself.  Is this to help the homeless make some money?  Did a double take on this one,  someone had carefully put some books in a plastic bag and left them for the taking.    Bookcrossing perhaps?
