Turing

Thank you Bom for organising a blipmeet at Bletchley Park today.... it was nice to meet BlackTulip, Hildarose,  &SHH [Rob] ,Polly H, JDO, Anniemay, Igor and Tiedmark .  We enjoyed a pre wander coffee and chat and then headed for the main house. I've added a picture of some of us in the garden.

My main image is a close up of the Alan Turing statue in the museum.   It's beautifully made in layers of what looks like slate,  by Stephen Kettle in 2007.  As one of the extras I've added a picture of Alan's teddy bear.

Alan Turing OBE played a pivotal role in cracking german codes during the war at Bletchley Park.  It has been estimated that this work shortened the war in Europe by as many as two to four years.

Bletchley Park
still enduring,
where would you have been,
without Alan Turing?
