On DaveRI's suggestion I got me some David Plowden books. The third one arrived all the way from Oregon yesterday. Some damn good stuff.... think shots like this one.... except proper good.

BAck on the bike for the first run to work since May, pretty much felt like it as well. The lurgy has definitely left the building....
