Apple Blossom

The Cherry Blossom will be here in a couple of weeks and we'll be in the middle of it all again.  This song springs to mind (and it's a bizarre memory to have, even for me).

It was a glorious Saturday and we packed it full.

First off to Diez to pick up my new glasses.  It's quite a trek up to Diez but it's worth it to travel through the Aartal (Aar Valley).  It's a cracking route, hugely popular with bikers.  My new glasses will feature when I get used to them.

We went shopping on the way home at a supermarket we haven't been to since we moved last year.  It was odd seeing how much had changed in that year.

And when we got home, we delivered and installed a new telly for my German teacher.  She now has tons of channels that she's never seen before and she has a very simple remote which has cheered her up immensely.

And then we came home and went ut for a walk to enjoy the awesome weather.  20°C outside and no wind, it does a soul good to  get out and away from everything when it's like that.

We walked through the vineyards (and they are very busy at the moment - lots of pruning and training of vines going on) and marvelled at the glory of spring.  It's amazing how an hour or so in the sun can lift your mood.

And now we're home and it's time to get the Urmelhose on.  I will sleep tonight.
