Triffid?

No idea what the man-eating plant is that was growing beside this pretty early rhododendron in Branklyn Gardens in Perth, but it was certainly quite a contrast:-)

The gardens are wonderful when more of the rhododendrons come out, but there's always something interesting to see and we enjoyed a short walk round today.  

Arriving home, we spotted a less than welcome visitor in our own garden, although he was not short of the cuteness factor as you'll see from the Extra.  This was him watching me watching him!
