Muse-ic

We had a quick visit this morning from my (Annie's) stepmum to say hello. She'd not been well over Easter when she was meant to visit, so it was great to see her perkier.

In the afternoon the girls, Chris and I all headed into central Birmingham to see Muse play. It's one of (all of our) favourite bands, so we were all excited. After battling the crowds around the arena to find somewhere with space for us to eat, we headed in to catch the last part of the support band, Nothing but Thieves.

Muse were playing in the round, and are known for their exciting stage shows, so anticipation was high. We were intrigued by the large transparent spheres lurking above our heads, and when they appeared as part of the show they didn't disappoint. Great music (how does he play his guitar like that while singing like that also?), impressive lights and a fabulous show.

Challenging lighting to photograph in with a little camera but I think Chris did OK here!
