Shining Sunbird(Cinnyris habessinicus)

The Shining Sunbird is the largest of the Sunbirds in Oman and is a common breeding resident in South Oman. The female is sadly rather plain but this male is very colourful with lots of gorgeous metallic colours.
No photographs to show you of the Kingfisher as I only had a fleeting glimpse of a Grey-headed Kingfisher! Not the Malachite Kingfisher. I'm very sorry to say I did not track it down.
The extra is of a camel train on the beach at Taqah-very near to the beautiful location the Malachite had been seen and beautifully photographed by other lucky people, but not me. Very sad face...
