Life through the lens...

Otley Chevin

A collage of our 8 mile walk today from Otley Chevin to Bramhope, East Carlton, Giuseley Moor and back to Surprise View.

The collage shows the Easter Cross, which  is still up on the Chevin at Surprise view.
One of the sculptures which was done in 2010 by local sculptor and art teacher, Shane Green. All carved with a chain saw.
The other two photos are some of the farm animals we passed on the walk.

Quite cold when we set off, 5c but it soon warmed up when the sun came out.
Some of the paths were now very muddy again, especially those which crossed fields.
Begining to think they are never going to dry out.
On the way home we popped in to see an art exhibition as a couple of our walking friends were among those exhibiting.
Some beautiful paintings by some very talented people. So many different styles too.
It just happened to be held in a local pub! Very convenient for a pint or two! Shandy for me as I volunteered to drive home.
Wore my new coat, but it didn't get wet!
