O when The Sheep come Marchin' in

What shall we do, you tell...Our little lazy round started by walking a bit uphill to see if the rosa cherry blossom would show photogenic. Just a small walk through the neighbourhood and sightsee. Forsytia’s, The Magnolia Outburst, the colorfull garden picturesque. The petite green buds. A disturbed cat fleeing away from her sun nap.


Then, it were only a few steps from Gardentown to the western Weser Riverside. There we leaned down on a bench. Looking around in the bleak afternoon sun. People sitting in the grass, sunday bikers, family walkers. A perfect lousy sunday hanging around. Lets return for tea and read a bit or…


We were just about to climb the last long staircase home..What is that? Sheep, hundreds of sheep walking down from the forest heading for the bridge into town. We had to see and follow this. Hurry up, she said and doubled her pace, half running. I followed, tried to picture this massive sheepherd walking through ‘our’ streets.


The sheep were tired and thirsty. The sheperd and his dogs had to move fast. Willemien had vanished almost out of sight around the corner. I would stay and wait on the bridge. After half an hour she returned. Had wanted to get in front of the herd. Without succes until the entire caravan arrived in the riverside fields in the outskirts of town…

They have walked all the way from Wahmbeck and were exhausted...This was our first warm springtime lazy sunday afternoon. LazyMeh..., Doyoucome from Wahmbeck all over the bridge and still carry that thick woolen overcoat..?
