the nuthatches

Today after last nights snowfall made for a cold day it started out at -9c but warmed up to -3C later. I got out for a walk and found many eager birds looking for food. This nuthatches plus chickadees greeted me as I headed down the path to the lake it seemed that there was all types of birds out today. What i did not realize is that normally the birds are very active before a storm. I found out later that we were about to get more winter. Tonight we are under a snowfall warning with up to 15cm to fall. See my extra shot.
