A new bike...

...for DrD  was purchased last week and this one is a snazzy , foldable electric model. He's off and away , discovering some of the new bike trails around Hamilton. Like many Grandads, the tales of his childhood adventures fascinate  the grandchildren and his eldest granddaughter is skilled with pen both verbally and pictorial modes and wrote up one of her grandfather's youthful escapades with his cousin when they biked from Mission Bay in Auckland to Taneatua in the Bay of Plenty (about 300 kilometres) one summer 66 years ago.
