The burn in Alyth

I was in Perthshire today, visiting the little town of Alyth and meeting with the Alyth Development Trust. This is a shot of the burn that flooded in July last year with devastating consequences for this pretty little town. There was plenty of water rushing downriver today, as it was raining heavily during my visit, and had been on all day. The rain followed me home which made it a long slow drive north on very wet roads at rush hour through Aberdeen. It always amuses me that term, as traffic is always crawling rather than rushing anywhere. Still I enjoyed my time with some enthusiastic volunteers, and a different working day.
