Unwelcome guests...

I don't know if this is an effect of the very mild winter, that has breeded new insects.  Something stripped this trunk of my evergreen tree bare, and has taken domicile in it.  I cut down this trunk to avoid the others being contaminated, and now need to get to a nursery to figure out what to do to avoid it spreading...
