Odnes + Twa Ka

David, Adri, Thushanti and I did the walk to Jacmel this weekend. The first day is brutal with lots of uphill, gravelly roads; all the while, though, there are ti machann with 40 pounds of vegetables on their heads walking faster than you to get to/from the market. Very impressive!

This is a photo of the guide Odnes and his horse Twa Ka that we hired to help us carry our bags. It makes the two day walk so much more enjoyable to not have the backpack on. Plus Odnes is super friendly.
