Model Railway

Day 2 of our Hamburg holiday has been fun. We started with the 19th Century Schooner, Rickmer Rickmers, and moved on to the Russian U-434. Can you tell I'm on holiday with a 12 year old boy..... Engine rooms go down very well....

After lunch we went to see the church of St Michael, and climb 106feet up the tower for the views, before going to the Hamburg Museum. Model making is clearly a big thing here; yesterday we went to the Minature Wonderland, today it was models, and another model railway at the Hamburg Museum. Apparently this year is the 150th anniversary of the Hamburg-Lubeck line (which is the one we are planning to take on Saturday...). In all, we have walked 12km again (excluding the visit to the Museum when I had to leave my bag and phone in a locker). But its been such a brilliant day.

Since its Tiny Tuesday, I thought I'd join in with one of the tiny model railway figures - this particular one being a very old train - the grey behind is the rush of a more modern diesel train on its way into Hamburg station in the model railway. Unfortunately I didn't have room to pack a macro lens, but hopefully this is good enough.
