Pushing through

The tenacity of plants to put down roots and grow in the most unusual places never fails to amaze me.  This thistle has managed to push through the tarp and appears to be thriving.  I like the way it's stretching the strands of tarp that haven't been broken yet.  The little dancing edges of the broken strands are quite cool too, I think.
A very dreary day out there,  rainy and dark.  I wasn't motivated to go out in search of a blip but off I went for a wander around our place and ended up taking far too many photos, as usual.
