We've crossed the border!

Petronela has never seen Scottish money before so she wondered whether it had the same value ;-)) when we just got it in change in the pub (The Black Bull) in the Scottish Borders town of Lauder. We're sitting before a great warm fire with a pint each and just ordered food. That's good because there has been a very 'bracing' wind today and we were both pretty cold.
After our superb day yesterday with blipper flashcube we finally tracked down some LPG to keep Lofty going and set off for Scotland, calling in at the magnificent Banburgh castle (extra) on the way.
We've parked Lofty in the grounds of another castle, Thirlestane Castle, in the town of Lauder and home to the Duke of Lauderdale. My family has some connection with this town but I've not been able to discover just what.
Tomorrow we aim to get the bus into Edinburgh.
