Heirloom

Relatively bright day interspersed with some heavy showers .
The packing continues but I think the end is in sight.
The monotony of the packing is relieved for me when we come upon some little box that we haven't seen for years and forgot about it.
Today we came upon such a tin.
Beachcomber's great uncle was a jewellery maker and we had a box of some of the items that Beachcomber's gran had of her brother's work.
This piece stood out and from the inscription it had been a present for an aunt of his gran's.
We also uncovered Beachcomber's grandfather's medals from his service with the Merchant Fleet during WW1.
I'm glad to report despite these asides the bulk of our packing is now over :-)
