Valletta

First thing this morning we walked down the hill to the beach and took photos along the seafront. After the long climb back up, we bought some lunch before joining the rest of the band on the coach to Valletta.

We had a scenic drive through the city before arriving at the Anglican Cathedral to unload.  

We then had a few hours to wander around the city and get some dinner before we returned to the church and set up.

The main blip is of the 4pm gun being fired from the saluting battery.  We knew this was fired at midday, but had a pleasant surprise when we arrived just ten minutes before  then.

The concert was a great success.  There were some French tourists sat behind my parents who had never heard anything quite like it before!  See the extra.
