Works for me

I've always liked the Flower Fairy pictures of Cicely Mary Barker, but it's only recently that I've actually owned a book of them, found for a song in a local charity shop.
Looking through the pictures again, this one's a favourite - not just because there's a bee and it's a bumble, but because of the last lines of the verse :

.... learn to see
How pretty common things can be.

which ties up with today's extra photo - just a twig of flowering cherry at the side of the pavement, but it's more than pretty.
And in one of those everyday coincidences, CMB was from Croydon, my own hometown, and her first Flower Fairy pictures were published the same year as my old Dad was born there.
So today's blip definitely works for me.
