Coot on the nest

After a long and exhausting shift at work, I picked up some hay for rabbit Rosie at the pet store and walked home past the Great Crested Grebes nest, which I already blipped on Monday and Tuesday. Both birds had their heads tucked into their feathers though and this Coot, which is nesting on the same platform, did the same thing a few moments after I'd taken this shot. 

My cold seemed to have improved somewhat in the afternoon but not as much yet as I would like.
