It gives a lovely light

One of our local craftspeople* does a nice line in lampshades by embedding pressed wild flowers, leaves and seaweed into hand-made paper. She displays the shades for sale in shops and markets which is where I collected our second one today.  It combines fern  fronds and gorse petals.  We already have a seaweed version featuring the beautiful red dulse to be found on nearby beaches. You can see them both in extras..

(Edna St Vincent Millay's poem just popped into my head)

My candle burns at both ends;
   It will not last the night;
But ah, my foes, and oh, my friends—
   It gives a lovely light!
