Greystoke church

A Cold and damp day wouldn't normally stop me from going outside, up hills or anything, but add a limited walking workshop and 50mph winds into the mix and some discretion was required.

We started the day driving East - where the better weather was meant to be, but didn't seem to materialise. So we dropped into the village of Greystoke, and visited the church there. Spent a good few hours exploring the various photographic opportunities in there.

I loved this statue of Christ By Josefina de Vasconcellos. A Brazilian sculpture born on 1904 (died 2005) who has many fabulous works around Cumbria. I thought the position and light made this look truly haunting.
