Beautiful!

Beautiful Demoiselle (Calopteryx virgo) to be exact. We saw these today at Slapton Ley Nature Reserve in South Devon. The weather has been mixed today - drizzly this morning when we paid a visit to my friend's allotment then dull and misty when we set off for an afternoon walk towards the coast. It brightened up a bit during the walk, but as we came out of the pub after a meal at the end of the walk, it was dull again. Still, a very enjoyable day with this fine creature as one of the highlights.
