This bloke invented logarithms, you know

This Valentin Znoba sculpture depicts John Napier, polymath, inventor of logarithms and whose name graces Edinburgh Napier University in Scotland [where I lecture part-time on the Creative Writing MA]. The sculpture used to be outdoors at the Craighouse campus, but is now indoors near the historic stone Napier Tower on the Merchiston campus.
