What started out to be an uneventful day ended up costing an awful lot of money!!
Parcel from yesterday retrieved from post office first thing - no problem
Then husband took our 20 year old Yaris to the garage for it's MOT....and that's where the problems started.......
MOT failed - the whole exhaust system needed changing, two tyres were near their limit and the wipers needed changing. All in all it would have cost us over £1000 and the car is worth nowhere near that.
We've been putting off getting a new car for a couple of years now. We have 2 cars and as I am travelling so much, it didn't make sense to get one unless we needed to. Well....now we need to.
So, we did a bit of googling to get the measure of the cost of a car and then headed to the local car supermarket.
An hour later, we'd put a deposit on a car which will cost us the best part of £10k - eeek!
Ah well, it's only money.

Not much time for a lot else today, but Mr and Mrs Blackbird have been around in the garden on and off all day. I think they have a nest in the tree at the end of the garden. At least that's where they keep heading anyway.

Hope someone had a nice bet on the Grand National and won at 33-1 :)
