Titter ye not.

Although some of you will find this very strange and some even amusing, this is my very first attempt at baking a cake. An idea spurred on by one of the people on the course I ran at Heathrow this week - thanks Carla, but no career change for me I think.

Madeira cake with mascarpone cheese and blackberry cream filling.

No soggy bottom just a bit of a dippy top! But no fears for anyone contemplating the Great British Bakeoff.
