Petworth

Waking up in the Pullman Carriage was a complete treat.

Feels so luxurious. All the glorious wood panelling and beautiful blinds. The breakfast in 'The Waiting Room' was just lovely too.

Later we headed to Chiddingfold where F's father had been evacuated as a child during WWII. They have a small archive where you can take a look at various bits of historical information surrounding the village, sadly no mention F's father, though there was some information on evacuees.

The rest of the day was spent driving around, down to Portsmouth for coffee in F's lovely school friend's coffee shop (Home, which was bloody lovely). Then back to Petworth via Bognor Regis.

Back to the carriage for the evening, a small picnic from the local supermarket, couple of bottles of fizz and Apollo 13 on DVD.

How perfect is that?
