Footwear is optional

Not just for walks along the beach, just in general. You'll see people walking around town and malls in bare feet. Maybe not good for business meetings but otherwise you'll be fine!

We had our usual beach wander today. When we got back up off the sand the pavement wasn't too hot so I just left the flip flops off. Forgot to put them on in the coffee shop. Very comfortable actually! The pavements are flat here so you're unlikely to catch a toe on a loose paving slab!
