Chapel on the Hill

Had a long local walk today. This little chapel is tucked away on a bridleway, and is known as the Well Hill Mission Church. It was biilt in 1893. It is thought to be one of the many Missions built to serve the hop pickers of the Darent Valley.
It still has fortnightly services on a sunday.
I've never seen inside as the door is always locked.

We spent a pleasurable hour with a pint of cider peoplewatching the customers from the garden of a nearby pub. Interesting to note the type of clothes that people wear for a sunday pub lunch outing.

All in all a lovely way to spend a sunday.
