How not to put a ski on.

This is John. 

It turned out that he had never done cross-country before. By the end of the week he was out with the advanced group whilst I was still hanging out with the intermediate bunch. 

Not a sunny day, but our teacher/guide Robert made sure we were comfortable and looked after us. 

I did a lot of falling over and imitating a duckling, but by the end of the day those who had skied before were fit to do a loop of the nearest tracked circuit on our own which got us back to the hotel just in time for tea. 

The extra is the local landscape, just to give you a taste.
