Getting the sparkle back

Bishop Hill from Loch Leven

Had a great afternoon here with T at the RSPB reserve at Vane Farm - the weather cleared up beautifully after some heavy showers. We saw lots of birds including lapwings which have declined a great deal recently, also a llittle egret - a first for both of us, many tufted ducks, various gulls (common and blackheaded mostly), shelduck, pintail, mallards, mute swans, a pair of great crested grebes displaying to each other - a lovely sight - and various unidentified brown ducks.
