Shrubhill

The former tram depot at Shrubhill has been derelict for many years. When the trams went in the 1950's the depot survived as a bus station and a museum. The museum closed in the 80's and the site has been largely empty since.

Recently the adjacent Brutalist office block, Shrubhill House, was replaced with more of the  ubiquitous student housing that is sweeping the city centre.  What the future holds for the remaining depot structuresI'm not sure but for the time being it remains a striking monument to our transport past.
