Road trip

A fierce trade wind came up last night so we decided to drive to Waimea Canyon. Rain here is really something --heavy and short. But it was good visibility until we got to the top. "The Grand Canyon of the Pacific Ocean" says Mark Twain ( who was never here .. If he was he wouldn't say that -way too much green growth in those rocks ) Oskar is testing the wind. Notice the "love locks". Had to add Fiona and the chicken... She's a bit grumpy and sleepy from the ride but enjoying her milkshake from JoJos ( best shaved ice on the island) . A beautiful drive up the west side of the island I thought... Just long for the kids.. But there was swimming time left. And shopping and dinner IN with fish on the grill,..and game after...

Extra is taken by son E. Took the kids to the beach for more swimming and boarding in the rain! ( and a stubbed toes on the rocks) but how cool is that sky!
