A golden day

After a deluged day yesterday, driving from Hokitika to Haast, merely glimpsing the beautiful lakes through the murk en route(although the beech trees ,bush and rivers were grand), we awoke to sunshine this morning and had a stunning run through the Haast Pass then with Lake Wanaka beside us before coming over the brow to see Lake Hawea laid out before us. After a scrumptious lunch at Florence's we sought out the golden and crimson colors of Wanaka's autumn gardens and cheekily knocked on Snowy's door , thinking that her garden was still open for viewing. Thank you for your generous and warm welcome Snowy and your "tour of Blue Plates" that enhance your wonderful family and garden stories.
We so enjoyed and admired your wonderful garden which so clearly shows your eye for design, color and texture and extensive horticultural skill.
I was once told by a learned gardener that a garden should "curtsey to the house" and yours surely does so with vibrancy and grace.
