Capturing my Journey

Eva

Katy our one of our highland cows has calved a beautiful heifer calf now named Eva. The father is our new bull Glen so its nice to finally see a calf from him! Eva had got a bit cold in the rain this morning so we brought them in just to get her warmed up and happy. We also had 8 new lambs on the morning rounds this morning. Including my favourite ewes Shep who has had twins one boy and one girl the girl is gorgeous. Try to photograph her tomorrow.

In the afternoon we went to the farm where we manage the livestock to bring in the young cattle from out the hill ready for the inspection on Thursday. All went very smoothly and they are all home and ready.

We also had a delivery of a two day old Pekin chick who was the only hatchling from my friends incubator. Its meant to keep Chripy our chick company. But at the moment just seems to be terrorising and bullying ours. Ours is twice the size so its a bit of a surprise. Poor chirpy! Bandit is the name of the new chick the little monster!! I'm sure they will be a blip sometime soon.

oh and I also baked a chocolate cake. And we have a new pet lamb so our other one is no longer alone which made him jump for joy. This new pets mum didn't have any milk for her.

8c 10mph NE rain on and off all day with the wind calming.
