I walked around Deerness today in sunshine but with a biting wind. It was nice to see my first spring migrants of wheatears, chiffchaffs, bonxies, etc. But the highlight was my first black redstart which I saw on the shore at Den Wick. I didn't get a photo unfortunately. Weeds are easier.
